This is a fantastic primer to the Ketogenic  diet.  Author Maria Emmerich certainly knows her stuff and is prepared to share it in this book.   It is quite a large book, but is easily managed because it is broken down into 5 parts:  Heal Your Body, The Ketogenic Kitchen, Meal Plan and Shopping Lists, Cleansing ketogenic Recipes, and Resources.  Depending on where you are on your journey into the keto lifestyle, you can pick wherever you would like to begin reading.  The author’s explanations of this diet and the tips to help get you started are very good and easy to apply to your life  The meal plans and shopping lists that are included are very helpful and a great resource.   There may be some  ingredients you cannot find easily, but you always can substitute with what you can find.  The recipes look great and are easy to prepare and are great for leftovers.  I was very impressed by this book and recommend it to others who wish to learn about the Keto lifestyle.

    This is a very realistic approach to weight loss and fitness.  The fitness plan is very effective, and I don’t feel as hungry as I thought I might or as tired!  The author gives good advice and lots of great pointers and tips not only for losing weight, but getting healthier and looking younger.  With a comprehensive, holistic, and unique approach to wellness,  she teaches you how to harness the power of food, reduce stress, and sleep more soundly. I had a lot of misconceptions about how to obtain lean muscle but this book showed me wrong.         This is a good book – full of great juicing tips and interesting recipes. Juicing is not easy. It takes a lot of time, so you need to get some inspiration. This book serves the purpose. It covers different aspects of improving your health through green juicing. I recommend it for all enthusiasts of healthy living.  I won’t lie and say every juice tastes like heaven the first time as it takes some adjustment when you are used to everything being full of sugar.             When you look at the life of author Maria Menounos, you want what she’s having. Her new book tells you how to get it!  This book has tons of very detailed information on Maria’s lifestyle — what specifically she does and does not eat, how she exercises, and much more.  The author puts much emphasis on the mental and emotional aspect of being healthy and taking care of yourself. The program Menounos lays out is doable for the “every girl”. It promotes sensible, sustainable, realistic life changes and gives many ideas to help the average somebody get fit and healthy without going over the top on diet and exercise with no expensive equipment or trainers to pay.  I also enjoyed the Q & A interviews with other celebrities as well and found them full of helpful information.  This book is a great resource and a breath of fresh air.

              This book gives a bit of a different take on healthy beauty tips.  It isn’t just about creating homemade recipes to put on your body to help you make you look your best, but it contains recipes that you eat that will make you beautiful both inside and out!  I found this book to be thought provoking and interesting.  It was easy to read and the recipes easy to re-create.  I have tried several recipes and they were quite good.  I also tried  a few facial recipes and was pleased as well.  The book is well laid out, and the recipes are detailed and super easy to follow.  If you’re looking for a good book on DIY spa day ideas, this book won’t disappoint.
